Half of his career was devoted to Russia\, including: Director of the Soviet Union Division (1988~91)\,\nDirector-General of the Treaties Bureau (1998-99)\, Director-General of the European Bureau (1999~2001)\, three times serving at the Japanese Embassy in Moscow\, altogether for eight years and a half. He also founded in 2008\, Commons Asset Management\, a mutual fund dedicated to deliver long term investment opportunities to the Japanese household. \nHe has extensive market experience at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs as well as Moore Capital\, a global macro hedge fund\, where he was the representative managing director of the Tokyo Office.
