He also founded in 2008\, Commons Asset Management\, a mutual fund dedicated to deliver long term investment opportunities to the Japanese household. \nHe has extensive market experience at JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs as well as Moore Capital\, a global macro hedge fund\, where he was the representative managing director of the Tokyo Office. His monthly column\, “Black Eye”\, for The Japan Times\, raises awareness of issues related to “blackness” in Japan\, and profiles people of African descent from around the globe living in Japan . \nIn 2015\, Baye spearheaded a successful petition to protest the airing of a blackface minstrel show on Japanese TV\, and since has become the voice of people of African descent all over Asia. His writing and activism has garnered global attention\, and has been featured or discussed in The New York Times\, on\nBBC\, CNN\, Washington Post\, Wall Street Journal\, Huffington Post\, USA Today\, Yahoo!
